HJ Fluid Power delivered a complete end-to-end engineering solution for this Linear Pull Winch (LPW) Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU), designed for an international marine industry application in Singapore. Our scope included hydraulic schematic development, full bill of materials (BOM), electrical design and parts list, control philosophy, flow charts, and detailed engineering calculations, ensuring a fully integrated and reliable system.
The HPU is engineered to operate three different capacity Linear Pull Winches (300 MT, 600 MT, and 800 MT) using a single system, providing maximum flexibility across varying operational requirements. In addition, the design incorporates an auxiliary hydraulic system to operate an auxiliary winch when the LPW is not in use, improving overall system utilisation. A take-up reel system is also integrated to maintain proper rope tension during LPW operation, ensuring smooth and controlled pulling performance.
The system is designed with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency, featuring a fully interlocked control system that prevents simultaneous operation of systems and minimises operator error. This robust design delivers high-performance operation, demonstrating HJ Fluid Power’s capability to deliver advanced hydraulic solutions for Marine Industry.
